July 12th
A traffic stop was made east on Highway 20; the driver was issued a citation for driving 15 Mph over the posted speed limit.
July 13th
Brown County Sheriff responded to a welfare check of an elderly male in rural Brown County. The person was found to be ok after an accidental press of a life alert bracelet.
A traffic stop was made east on Highway 20; the driver was issued a citation for driving 16 Mph over the posted speed limit.
A traffic stop was made south on Highway 7; the driver was issued a citation for driving 27 Mph over the posted speed limit. The driver also received a written warning for not having their driver’s license with them.
Brown County Deputy investigated a reported dog bite on a child in rural Brown County. After the investigation was completed the owner of the dog was given a citation for dangerous dog.
July 14th
Brown County Sheriff provided court security for District Court in Ainsworth.
A traffic stop was made west on Highway 20; the driver was issued a citation for driving 13 Mph over the posted speed limit. The driver also received a repair order for improper and defective vehicle lighting.
Brown County Ambulance assisted the Brown County Hospital with a transfer of a patient.
Brown County Sheriff and Deputies attended a two-state meeting with other law enforcement agencies in Ainsworth.
Brown County Deputy helped locate the owners of lost dogs in Kellar State Park on Highway 183.
July 15th
Brown County Sheriff provided court security for County Court in Ainsworth.
Brown County Deputy checked on a vehicle that appeared to have broken down at a gas station in Ainsworth. The Deputy reported that the driver informed him that his vehicle ran out of gas and that he was ok.
Long Pine Fire Department responded to a gas leak coming from a meter in Long Pine.
Brown County Sheriff attended the property tax meeting at the Brown County courthouse.
July 16th
Brown County Deputy is investigating possible fraud and theft in Rural Brown County.
Brown County Ambulance responded to a patient in rural Brown County. No transport needed.
July 17th
Brown County Jail booked an individual into jail for violating probation.
Ainsworth Fire and Johnstown Fire Department’s responded to a hay field fire western rural Brown County.
Brown County Deputies responded to a verbal altercation between household members in rural Brown County.

July 5th
Brown County Sheriff Office received a complaint of people still shooting fireworks after midnight in Long Pine. Deputies patrolled Long Pine.
Brown County spoke to individuals referencing a civil matter including doing a requested civil standby in Ainsworth.
Brown County Ambulance assisted the Brown County Hospital with a transfer of a patient.
Brown County Deputies & NSP responded to a disturbance in Long Pine referencing a very intoxicated person. The reported person was located and after an investigation the individual was placed under arrest for Terroristic Threats, Criminal Mischief and Assault 3rd Degree.
A traffic stop was made west on Highway 20; the driver was given a citation for driving 15 Mph over the posted speed limit.
Brown County Ambulance responded to a patient in Ainsworth and transported the patient to the Brown County Hospital.

July 6th
Brown County Deputies are investigating multiple reports of juveniles being harassed on social media platforms. This is an ongoing investigation.
Brown County Deputy investigated a two-vehicle accident in Ainsworth.

July 7th
Brown County Sheriff and Brown County Ambulance responded to a patient in rural Brown County; the patient was then transported to the Brown County Hospital.
Brown County Sheriff did a safety walk through for a business in Brown County.
Brown County Jail released an inmate on bond.

July 8th
Brown County Deputy responded to a bull in the roadway; west on Highway 20. By the time the deputy got to the reported area the bull was put back in its pasture.
Brown County Sheriff was asked to do a welfare check in South Brown County. The individual was found to be ok.
Brown County Sheriff and Deputy stopped and spoke with a broken-down vehicle south on Highway 7. Brown County Sheriff Office facilitated calling a tow truck for the vehicle and arranged transportation for the family into Ainsworth.
Brown County Sheriff cleaned tire debris out of the roadway on Highway 20.
A traffic stop was made near Johnstown; the driver received a verbal warning for driving left of center.
Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of Semi hauling bales of hay that may be unsecured because the bales of hay appeared to be close to falling off the trailer. Brown County Deputy was able to locate the vehicle and do a safety inspection of the hay bales and make sure they were properly strapped down.

July 9th
Received a report of a possibly abandoned vehicle on Main St. in Ainsworth. Brown County Deputy attempted gather information to contact the owner of the vehicle.
Brown County Deputy responded to a fender bender accident that turned into a verbal dispute in Ainsworth. During the investigation, one of the drivers involved in the accident was placed under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol.

July 10th
Brown County Sheriff assisted two families in Brown County.
Brown County Deputy responded to a report of a person walking in the street in Long Pine yelling obscenities at people. Brown County Deputy was unable to find the reported person.
Brown County Deputy was asked to do a welfare check of an individual in Ainsworth. The Deputy reported that individual was ok.

July 11th
A traffic stop was made east on Highway 20; the driver received a written warning for driving left of center.
Brown County Deputy responded to a report of a drunk individual walking in the roadway in Ainsworth. Brown County Deputy spoke with the reported person.
Brown County Deputy took a report of vandalism to a mailbox in Ainsworth. This is an ongoing investigation.
A traffic stop was made east on Highway 20; the driver received a written warning for driving on the shoulder of the highway.

Brown County Deputy investigated a car deer accident east on Highway 20 near Long Pine State Park.
Brown County Ambulance responded to a patient in Ainsworth.
Brown County Ambulance assisted the Brown County Hospital with transport of a patient.
Brown County Deputy investigated a car deer accident south on Highway 7.

June 29th
Ainsworth and Long Pine Fire Departments provided mutual aid at the Crawford fire.

June 30th
Brown County Sheriff investigated an Accident in Ainsworth.

July 1st
Brown County Sheriff provided court security for County court in Ainsworth.
Brown County Deputy responded to an area of a 911 hang up. Individual was not found.

July 2nd
Brown County Ambulance responded to a patient in South Brown County and transported the patient to the Brown County Hospital.
Brown County Ambulance assisted the Brown County Hospital with transport of a patient.
A written warning was issued for speeding South on Highway 7.
Brown County Deputy took a report of an Ainsworth resident harassing another person via social media. The reported person was contacted.
Brown County Deputy assisted with a lost kitten in Long Pine State Park.

July 3rd
Brown County Ambulance responded to a patient in Ainsworth and transported the patient to the Brown County Hospital.
Brown County Sheriff Office took a report of a Cattle truck struggling to maintain its lane on Highway 20. Brown County Deputy responded to the vehicle and was not able to find the reported vehicle.
Brown County Deputies were requested to do a welfare check of a resident in Rural Brown County. The individual was found to be ok.
Brown County Deputies investigated a verbal dispute between two individuals in Ainsworth. Everything was found to be ok and crimes were committed.
A written warning was issued for speeding on Highway 20.

July 4th
A traffic stop was made west on Highway 20; the driver was given a citation for driving 17 Mph over the posted speed limit.
Brown County Deputy helped with the Red, White and Boom Truck Ball Drive in Ainsworth.
Brown County Deputy was doing foot patrol during the car show on Main St. in Ainsworth.
Brown County Deputy provided traffic control and lead the bicycle parade to Main St. in Ainsworth.
A traffic stop was made north on Highway 183; the driver received a citation for driving 21 Mph over the posted speed limit.
Brown County Deputies were asked to do a security sweep of a house in Ainsworth after a door was found open without the homeowner’s being home. Everything was found to be ok.
Brown County Deputies and Brown County Ambulance responded to a physical altercation in Ainsworth. After the investigation, Brown County Deputies were able to find the other individuals involved and a citation was given for assault 3rd degree.

Brown County Deputy responded to a report of cattle out on Highway 7 south of Ainsworth.
A traffic stop was made on Highway 20 two vehicles where stopped, the driver of the first vehicle received a citation for driving 16 to 20 Mph over the posted speed limit. The driver of the second vehicle received a citation for driving 16 to 20 Mph over the posted speed limit, following to close and no proof of insurance.
A traffic stop was made on Highway 20 the driver received a citation for driving 16 to 20 Mph over the posted speed limit.
A traffic stop was made on Highway 20 the driver received a warning for driving over the posted speed limit.
Brown County Sheriff’s office received a report of a wallet left at a Holt County business belonging to a Brown County resident.
Responded to a report of an assault in Ainsworth, Deputy unable to locate the subject. This is an ongoing investigation.

June 22nd

Brown County Deputy responded to a report of a disabled tractor trailer on Highway 7 south of Ainsworth.
Brown County Deputy responded to a report of a vehicle at the Long Pine turnoff heading west towards Ainsworth at excessive speeds. A vehicle was located but not speeding at time of sighting.
A traffic stop was made on Highway 20 the driver received a citation for driving 6 to 10 Mph over the posted speed limit.
Assisted with SOR check-in.
Chief Deputy spoke to a Brown County resident about her runaway daughter.
Chief Deputy spoke to a Brown County resident about a possible theft from a Brown County business.
Dispatch assisted with fire alarm test at Ainsworth Community Schools.

June 23rd

Brown County Deputy responded to a report of a hit and run accident on E 3rd St in Ainsworth.
Brown County Deputy spoke to an employee of a local business, about restricting access of a Brown County resident to said business.
Chief Deputy spoke to a Brown County resident for the second time about a possible theft from a Brown County business.
Took a report of an injured racoon on Cemetery Road, animal was dispatched.
Brown County Deputy spoke to a Brown County resident about his runaway granddaughter.
Brown County Deputies assisted with Brown Count attorney and DHHS with an investigation.
Dispatch Brown County fire to reports of smoke in the Long Pine canyons.
Brown County Deputy attended training in Lexington.

June 24th

A traffic stop was made on Meadville Ave (Old Highway 7) the driver received a citation for driving over the posted speed limit.
Assisted a neighboring agency looking for a driver that threatened roadworkers in Blaine County, Brown County Deputy was unable to locate the vehicle.
A traffic stop was made on Highway 7 the driver received a verbal warning for driving over the posted speed limit.
Sheriff responded to reports from road crew working on Spur 9A vehicles are not slowing down for the crew.
Brown County Ambulance service transported a patient from B*H Ainsworth to CHI Omaha.
Received a report of fraud from a Brown County resident, referred to Attorney General’s Office.
Brown County Deputy attended training in Lexington.
Sheriff and Deputy attended a training in Valentine.

June 25th

Brown County Deputy responded to a report of minor accident in Ainsworth.
Spoke to Mckenzie Leach of the Alumni Committee, coordinate traffic control for parade.
Brown Coun ty dispatch coordinated patient transfer from Brown County Hospital to Kearney.
Brown County Deputy responded to a report of open door at an Ainsworth business.
Brown County Deputy performed welfare check on a pedestrian traveling through Brown County, and was on foot as bicycle had broken down, deputy transported the individual to a local motel.
Brown County Deputy performed paper service.
Brown County Deputy performed a traffic stop on Highway 20, written warning for not having headlights on due to weather conditions.

June 26th

Brown County Deputy performed welfare check on a hitchhiker/homeless person camped on the south side of highway 20 & 183 junction.

Requested NSP check on a possible motorist assist on Highway 7 south of Ainsworth.
Brown County Deputy retrieved evidence from a neighboring agency for an ongoing investigation.
Brown County Deputy responded to automobile accident.
Brown County Deputy spoke to caller regarding possible child abuse in Dallas SD, gave called phone numbers for DHHS in SD and Marshall County Sheriff’s’ Office.
Brown County Deputy performed a civil standby for a Brown County resident.

A traffic stop was made on Highway 20 the driver received a citation for driving 16 to 20 Mph over the posted speed limit. and failure to renew registration on a trailer.

Brown County Deputy performed a traffic stop on Highway 20; the driver was booked for DUI, MIP, Open alcohol container, possess ma*****na, and possess of drug paraphernalia, paid bond and was released. The passenger was cited and released.
Brown County Deputy provided traffic control for the Alumni Parade.
Dispatch received a 911 call, was misdial, no emergency service needed.

Brown County Sheriff's Office partook in a high visibility grant "Make it Click." The enforcement period was between May 15* through May 31". Brown County Deputies worked
approximately 30 hours extra to their normal working hours.
During the enforcement period numerous traffic stops were made that included:

Citations:
15- speeding
3- possessing drug paraphernalia
1- not having a registered vehicle
1- driving under suspension
1- fictious license plates
1- failure to yield to the right of way
1- minor in possession of alcohol

Warnings:
44- speeding
6- seatbelt
6- unregistered vehicles
5- improper/defective vehicle lighting
4- driving on the shoulder of the highway
3- driving left of center
3- driving without lights after dark
3- for not having proof of insurance in vehicle
2- no driver’s license on their person
1- failure to display two plates
1- no operator’s license
1- not using a turn signal
1- no proof of insurance
1- failure to maintain lane

Ainsworth Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at Ainsworth Community School. The fire department reported that there was not a fire after walking the school and reset the alarm.

June 15th
Johnstown and Ainsworth Fire Department responded to a reported fire south of Johnstown.
Brown County Ambulance assisted the Brown County Hospital with a transfer of a patient.
A traffic stop was made west on Highway 20; the driver received a citation for driving 15 Mph over the posted speed limit. The driver also received a written warning for not having up to date insurance in their car.

June 16th
Brown County Sheriff and Deputy provided traffic control for a cattle crossing west on Highway 20.
Brown County Ambulance responded to a patient in Ainsworth and transported them to the Brown County Hospital.
Brown County Sheriff and Deputy provided traffic control for a funeral procession in Ainsworth.
Brown County Sheriff investigated an area of a 911 hang up. The caller eventually called back and advised it was an accidental call.
A traffic stop was made North on Highway 183; the driver received a citation for driving 15 Mph over the posted speed limit.
Brown County Deputies responded to an incident involving Mental Health.

June 17th
Brown County Deputy investigated a 911 hang up call that occurred in rural southwest Brown County.
Brown County Sheriff, Deputies, Long Pine Fire Department, Ainsworth Fire Department, and Brown County Ambulance responded to a UTV rollover accident south of Long Pine. The driver of the UTV was transported to Brown County Hospital.
Brown County Chief Deputy provided court security for County Court in Ainsworth.
Brown County Deputies assisted a gas station in contacting people that had forgotten to pay for their gas.

June 18th
Brown County Deputies responded to a report of loud yelling and screaming that may be domestic dispute in Long Pine. The deputies spoke with numerous individuals in the reported area. It was later discovered that the reported yelling and screaming was coming from a group of people in their backyard.

June 19th
Brown County Deputy spoke with a concerned parent on juvenile related issues.
Brown County Deputy responded to a report of an injured dog along the highway near Johnstown. The owner of the dog was notified and picked up their dog.
Brown County Deputy spoke to an individual in Ainsworth about a civil situation.
A traffic stop was made east on Highway 20; the driver was given a citation for not having a registered vehicle.

June 20th

Brown County Deputies provided traffic control for cattle crossing west on Highway 20.
A traffic stop was made east on Highway 20; the driver received written warnings for following to closely, improper passing and driving left of center.

June 8th
Brown County Deputies responded to a call of a missing elderly female with health concerns in Ainsworth. The female was found and Brown County Ambulance transported the patient to the Brown County Hospital.
Brown County Sheriff Office received a report of an erratic driver on Highway 20. The deputy responded to the reported area and was unable to find the reported vehicle.
A traffic stop was made in rural Brown County; the driver received a written warning for speeding.

June 9th
Brown County Sheriff provided court security for district court in Ainsworth.
A speeding warning was given north on Highway 183.
Ainsworth fire department responded to a reported fire south of Ainsworth.

June 10th
Ainsworth Fire Department sent vehicles to help with the Crawford, Nebraska fire.

June 11th
Brown County Sheriff received multiple complaints about a reckless driver on Highway 20. The reported vehicle was found, and the driver was spoken to and checked for impairment. The driver received a repair order for not having current registration in their vehicle.
Brown County Deputy responded to a mental health call in Ainsworth. The individual was spoken to by the Brown County Sheriff and Deputy. After speaking with available resources, the individual was turned over to family members.
Brown County took a report of possible harassing messages on social media platform.
Brown County Ambulance responded to a patient in Ainsworth and transported the patient to the Brown County Hospital.
A repair order was given for improper and defective vehicle lighting on Highway 20.

June 12th
Brown County Sheriff and Deputies completed annual certification for handgun and patrol rifle.
Brown County Deputies were out on foot patrol during the carnival in Ainsworth.
Brown County Deputy helped an individual retrieve their phone after it was accidentally dropped down a drainage hole on Main St. in Ainsworth.

June 13th
A traffic stop was made in Ainsworth; the driver was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and given additional citations for a minor in possession of alcohol, possession of an open alcohol container, and driving left of center. The passenger in the vehicle also received a citation for procuring alcohol to a minor and possession of an open alcohol container.
Brown County Deputies were out on foot patrol during the carnival in Ainsworth.
An inmate posted bond and was released from jail.
Brown County Ambulance responded to a patient in Ainsworth and transported the patient to the Brown County Hospital.
A written warning for speeding was given west on Highway 20.
A repair order was issued for improper or defective vehicle lighting east on Highway 20.
