The Summit County Veterans Service Commission is hosting a Veterans appreciation day !
Come to our office sign in to see a service officer for benefit information and you can receive up to 4 complimentary tickets for the game on Sat. July 11, 2026 starting at 7:05pm with complimentary picnic dinner buffet and refreshments in the designated veteran appreciation day area !!!

Honoring Service. Celebrating Recovery. Recognizing Success.

On June 29, Summit County Valor Court proudly celebrated our quarterly graduation at the Summit Recovery Hub. It was an honor to recognize three Veterans for their hard work, perseverance, and commitment to recovery and a new way of life.

We were also honored to celebrate the retirement of Richard Showman, whose years of dedicated service and unwavering commitment to supporting justice-involved Veterans have left a lasting impact on Summit County Valor Court. Thank you, Richard, for your compassion, leadership, and service. We wish you all the best in this well-earned next chapter.

A special thank you to our keynote speaker, George Sports, a Valor Court alumnus, who shared his powerful story of hope, perseverance, and recovery. Your words were an inspiration to our graduates, their families, and everyone in attendance, reminding us all that recovery and transformation are possible.
