At 626 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Cottonwood Valley, or 23 miles north of Limon, moving east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include... Last Chance, Lindon, Cottonwood Valley and Thurman.

At 829 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking an area of strong thunderstorms 7 miles west of Hoyt, or 29 miles southwest of Fort Morgan, and is stationary.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... Northeastern Washington County in northeastern Colorado...

* Until 1130 PM MDT.

* At 1051 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 5 miles northeast of Midway, or 11 miles northwest of Akron, moving southeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include... Akron, Platner, Midway, Prewitt Reservoir, Burdett and Fremont Butte.

At 724 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong thunderstorms extending from 7 miles southeast of Prewitt Reservoir to 6 miles northwest of Gary, or extending from 13 miles north of Akron to 11 miles southeast of Fort Morgan, moving southeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Extreme southeastern Logan County in northeastern Colorado... Phillips County in northeastern Colorado... Southeastern Sedgwick County in northeastern Colorado... Northeastern Washington County in northeastern Colorado...

* WHEN...Until 930 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

- At 725 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen.

- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

- Some locations that will experience flooding include... Holyoke, Haxtun, Otis, Paoli, Highland Center, Fairfield, Lone Star, Sixteen-Mile Corner, Amherst, Burdett, Pleasant Valley, Platner and Hyde.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause minor flooding of small creeks and streams, country roads, farmland along creeks, and other low lying areas
