NYSHTA had a great day in Saratoga yesterday for our Summer Board Meeting and Day at the Races Fundraiser! 🏇

We kicked off the day with our Summer Board Meeting, bringing together our Board of Directors to discuss priorities and the work ahead for New York’s hospitality and tourism industry. A special thank you to Ferguson and Sprague Operating Resources LLC for sponsoring the meeting and supporting NYSHTA!

Following the meeting, we headed to Saratoga Race Course for our sold-out Day at the Races Fundraiser! It was a great afternoon spent with members and industry partners while supporting the Fred & Gertrude England Hospitality Education Foundation and scholarships for future hospitality leaders.

We’re proud to share that NYSHTA has been recognized by City & State New York as one of the 2026 Top Trade Associations!

This recognition starts with our 1,100 members across New York State. Their support strengthens our collective voice and our ability to advocate for New York’s hospitality and tourism industry.

That voice has helped deliver meaningful results, including the implementation of the nation’s first statewide law regulating short-term rentals, a major milestone following years of industry advocacy.

Thank you to our Board of Directors, Executive Committee and NYSHTA staff for their commitment to advancing our mission and elevating the Association’s visibility. We also extend a special thank you to Chairwoman Leola Edelin for her leadership and dedication to NYSHTA and our members.

This recognition is a reflection of what we can accomplish together as a strong, unified voice for New York’s hospitality and tourism industry.
