Our mission is to redistribute gently used furniture and household items and provide healthy food boxes to families experiencing furniture poverty and food insecurities. Life is Better when a House is a Home program redistributes quality used furniture and household items to those in need through projects: BEDS for KIDS, Wildfire Furniture Releif Program, Veteran Welcome Home Kits, Feeding Our Fut

ure, and Furniture for Individuals in Crises. Our goal is to provide 1,900 beds to children, 350 dining tables and chairs to families, averaging out to be 1,050 individuals, and basic furniture and household items to 3,050 individuals. Additionally, we will divert 285 tons from the landfill an in-kind furniture and household donation valued at $855,000 which is passed on to families, children and individuals in need.

Every month, families in our community move into housing with little to nothing of their own. A monthly gift to Furniture Share helps ensure we can continue providing beds, tables, couches, dressers, and household essentials to those who need them most. 💙

By becoming a monthly donor, you create reliable support that helps us serve local children, families, Veterans, and individuals year-round. Even a small monthly contribution can make a lasting difference.

✨ Consistent support = consistent impact.

📦 What people don’t always see behind furniture donation...

Every couch, bed, dresser, and table that comes through our doors represents a fresh start for someone in our community.

But before furniture reaches a family, there’s a lot happening behind the scenes:
🚚 Pickups across the community
📋 Sorting and inspecting donations
🛠 Packing and preparing items
📦 Organizing household essentials
🚛 Loading delivery trucks
❤️ Coordinating with partner agencies and families

Some days, furniture comes into our warehouse and goes right back out within hours because the need is that immediate.

Furniture Share is powered by donors, volunteers, staff, and community partners all working together to help local children, families, and Veterans create stable, comfortable homes.

Thank you for helping make that possible.

🛋 Why Furniture Matters ❤️

When people think about basic needs, they often think of food, clothing, or shelter first. But furniture is something many families quietly go without and replacing it is often far more difficult and expensive than people realize.

A bed isn’t just furniture. It’s a good night’s sleep for a child before school.
A couch isn’t just a couch. It’s a safe place for a family to gather at the end of the day.
A table isn’t just a table. It’s where homework gets done, meals are shared, and routines begin again.

Many of the families we serve are starting over after homelessness, domestic violence, medical emergencies, fires, job loss, or other major life challenges. After paying deposits, rent, utilities, and other immediate expenses, furniture often becomes something completely out of reach.

Quality furniture is expensive. Even finding affordable used furniture can require:
🚚 Transportation
💵 Upfront money
🕒 Time to search
💪 Ability to move heavy items

Those are barriers many families simply cannot overcome alone.

That’s why Furniture Share exists. Because everyone deserves more than just four walls, they deserve a comfortable, stable place to call home. ❤️

As we approach the end of our fiscal year on June 30, we’re working toward our fundraising goal to ensure we can continue providing essential furniture and household items to families in need throughout the coming year.

If you’ve received a letter from us, we hope you’ll take a moment to read it and see how your support helps turn empty spaces into safe, comfortable homes filled with dignity and hope.
