This drone footage captures a major milestone on the Thruway's $23.7 million bridge replacement project in Ulster County, where crews recently placed steel for the new southbound bridge over the Wallkill River and Route 213. TRAVEL ALERT - CROSS WESTCHESTER EXPRESSWAY: Two westbound lanes near exit 6 in White Plains are currently closed to facilitate emergency road repairs by New York State Department of Transportation crews. This will be an extended closure. Expect heavy delays. Seek alternate routes, if possible.

PROJECT UPDATE: Progress to rehabilitate a 70+-year-old bridge on the Thruway continues on a $19.4 million project in Rockland County. Demolition work has been taking place on the I-87 bridge over Route 202 in Suffern near exit 15. Deck panels are expected to be installed in the coming weeks. Work is expected to be completed by late 2026.

🚔 The Thruway Authority continues working with our partners at the New York State Police Troop T to crack down on ghost plates and toll evasion across the Thruway system.

So far this year, State Police has seized 214 vehicles and issued more than 1,100 tickets during four statewide enforcement details on the Thruway system.

When everyone pays their fair share, toll revenues can be reinvested into maintaining and improving the roadway that millions of motorists rely on every day. Thanks to Governor Hochul and our partners at Troop T for helping protect the integrity of the Thruway system.
