Please join us in welcoming Amber Sims, QMHP-CS, to the Family Promise of Collin County team!
Amber joins us with a strong background in criminal justice, behavioral health, crisis response, leadership, and community based support. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice, is a trained mediator, and is currently working toward her project management certification.
Before entering the behavioral health field, Amber spent ten years working in parole services. Her career has also included mobile crisis response, emergency coordination, advance planning, and leading teams that served individuals and families during some of lifeโs most difficult moments.
Amber describes herself as compassionate, resourceful, analytical, and solution-oriented. She believes in taking the time to understand each personโs situation, recognize their strengths, and identify practical ways to help them move forward.
When she is not working, Amber enjoys spending time with her family and pets, learning new things, developing ideas, and exploring entrepreneurship.
We are excited to welcome Amber to Family Promise of Collin County and look forward to the experience, care, and fresh perspective she brings to our families and community!
