Your Han-Le-Co Volunteer Fire Company has been off to a busy day today, handling several incidents throughout the afternoon and evening.
🔥 At approximately 12:30 PM, crews were dispatched for an inside odor of gas at Verizon Wireless. After investigating, the issue was determined to be coming from a rooftop HVAC unit above Wingstop.
🚨 At approximately 4:24 PM, crews were dispatched to the 500 block of Hayden Circle for a fire alarm. Crews investigated and found no emergency, and Catasauqua Fire was released from the incident. Engine 33 remained on location awaiting UGI at the request of the property owner.
🚗 While Engine 33 was still on Hayden Circle, crews were dispatched for an MVA with rescue in the area of Willowbrook Road and Race Street. Engine 33 cleared the fire alarm and went responding. Crews arrived to find a two-vehicle accident with one vehicle on its side. After assessment, it was determined there was no entrapment, Catasauqua Fire assisted with vehicle stabilization and patient care. Catasauqua was then released from the scene.
🚨 While Engine 33 was still operating at the MVA, another fire alarm was dispatched to the same address on Hayden Circle. Assistant Chief 33 held the assignment to Engine 33, which responded after clearing the accident.
It has certainly been a busy afternoon for our volunteers!
A big thank you to all of our mutual aid companies and agencies that assisted us throughout these incidents. Your continued support and teamwork are greatly appreciated!
