Yesterday just after 1800 hours, Station 32 along with Stations 3, 11, and 26 were dispatched to the 4000 block of Wedgewood Road for an automatic fire alarm. While responding, Chief 32 was advised by Lehigh County Radio that the assignment was being upgraded after receiving multiple calls reporting a house on fire. The dwelling fire upgrade added Stations 2, 5, 31, and 56 to the box.

Chief 32 arrived on scene just under 3 minutes from dispatch with fire showing from the roof. Engine 11 (Greenawalds) arrived shortly after as the first-due engine, stretching an attack line to initiate fire attack. Engine Tanker 32 arrived next and immediately began supplying Engine 11 with water. Due to the Springhouse Farms neighborhood lacking hydrants, additional tankers were requested, bringing in Stations 16 and 22.

Crews operated on scene for just under two hours before bringing the fire under control.
The cause remains under investigation.

A special thank you to Rep. Mike Schlossberg for taking the time to visit our station today and see our new Rehab Vehicle!

Representative Schlossberg was instrumental in helping us secure the funding needed to purchase this vehicle, which will allow us to better support EMS efforts for firefighters and other first responders during emergency incidents, extreme weather conditions, and extended operations.

We are incredibly grateful for his continued support of our department, our first responders, and the community we serve. Thank you, Representative Schlossberg, for helping make this important addition to our department possible!

It has come to our attention that a former member of our department has been making unacceptable remarks on social media regarding recent emergency calls in Lehigh County. This individual is no longer affiliated with the Woodlawn Fire Department, and his personal views in no way reflect the values, mission, or opinions of our organization.

These unprofessional comments do not align with our core standards. The Woodlawn Fire Department remains dedicated to protecting, serving, and providing emergency aid to every member of our community regardless of circumstance.

Usually, we are the ones answering your calls for help, but a little over a month ago, we made a call to all of you. After responding to several major emergency incidents, our water and sports drink supply was running dangerously low. Thanks to local news, media agencies and local government officials, we got the word out-and the support from our community has been absolutely overwhelming! Donations are still coming in every day, and we cannot thank you enough! These calls happen year-round, and we will always accept donations of water and sports drinks!

Our Rehab unit responds alongside Macungie Ambulance Corps and The Diamond Fire Company of Walnutport - Fire Station as Station 101 the Lehigh County Rehab Taskforce. Together these units respond to most major emergency incidents across Lehigh County and surrounding counties to supply first responders with vital hydration, snacks, and shelter.

Pictured below is the new Rehab 32, which will be entering service very soon! This unit was made possible thanks to a grant secured with help from the office of Rep. Mike Schlossberg. The new Rehab 32 is a 2025 Ford F-550 featuring a custom body built by Legend
Truck Body.

Thank you again for supporting us!!🚒💧

On July 6th Woodlawn crews as well as crews from Cetronia Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Fire Company #1 of Bangor again went to the training grounds for another live fire training, this time focusing truck company operations. While the engine crews attacked the fire the truck crews made entry multiple different ways to search and remove any simulated victims they found.
