Tonight is the first of at least two Wise County ESD 4 Budget workshops at 7 PM. It is after the special called meeting at 6 PM. We won't start talking budgets until 7 PM.

Tonights budget focus is Alvord and Chico areas.

It will be held at Alvord City Hall.

It has been a while since we posted this information, we get daily calls asking about the burn ban and outdoor burning.

******CALL 940-627-5870 EXT 4 FOR THE DAILY STATUS OF THE BURN BAN*****

Just a reminder, Wise County does not issue "burn permits" or grant anyone "permission" to burn outdoors, we simply ask that if you are in an unincorporated area of the county you call the fire marshal's office at 940-627-5870 ext. 4 to check the status of the burn ban and then log the burn with at the link below. If you live inside of a city limits check with the city hall about burn regulations for the city.
