As a fighter, veteran, husband, and former Anchorage Mayor, I’ll put Alaska First and lead boldly toward a stronger, freer, more prosperous future. Anchorage, Alaska is home to Dave Bronson after a two-year corporate commitment that turned into a love for Alaska lasting 29 years and counting. Born June 26, 1958 in Superior, Wisconsin, Dave earned his Bachelor of Science
Degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Wisconsin. After graduation, he served as an Active Duty Air Force Pilot from 1981 to 1990, as a USAF Reserves Plans Officer from 1992 to 1993, and as an Alaska ANG Maintenance Officer and Pilot from 1993 to 2005 while also building a career as a commercial airline pilot from 1990 to 2020. They have been married for 35 years and raised two children, Katie and Zach. His love for The Last Frontier includes land, air, and water as he enjoys hunting, fishing, and flying to remote areas. From 2021 to 2024 Dave served as Mayor of Anchorage where he focused on personal freedoms, defended small businesses, and opposed government overreach during the COVID era. He vetoed mask mandates and consistently spoke out for the right of Alaskans to make their own health decisions. As mayor he restored fiscal discipline, cut waste, and returned tax relief to Anchorage families. He led the effort to reopen Sullivan Arena as a true community events center and accelerated modernization of the Port of Alaska to protect the state’s supply chain and future economic growth. Dave Bronson’s record is defined by action, accountability, and results. Now he is running for Governor with the same commitment to individual liberty, safe communities, and a strong economy for Alaska’s future. Paid for by Bronson For Governor, P.O.
