✨ Wellness Wednesday ✨

Feeling overwhelmed? Try this simple 5-minute meditation to help calm your mind and reset your day.

1️⃣ Sit comfortably and close your eyes (or soften your gaze).

2️⃣ Take a slow breath in through your nose for 4 counts.

3️⃣ Hold for 2 counts.

4️⃣ Exhale slowly through your mouth for 6 counts.

5️⃣ As you breathe, focus only on the sensation of your breath moving in and out.

If your mind wanders, gently bring your attention back to your breathing, no judgment needed.

Just 5 minutes of mindful breathing can help reduce stress, improve focus, and leave you feeling more grounded and refreshed.

💙 Challenge: Set a timer today and give yourself five uninterrupted minutes to pause, breathe, and reset.

Your mind and body will thank you.

📝 Let us know if you did it!

✨ Money Monday ✨

Pay yourself first!

Set up an automatic transfer to savings each payday before spending on anything else, even if it’s $25–$50 per paycheck, start where you can. Even small amounts add up over time and can help create an emergency fund for life’s unexpected expenses.

Consistency matters more than the amount you start with.

✨ Wellness Wednesday ✨

As the cost of everyday essentials continues to rise, many people are feeling increased financial stress. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, know that you’re not alone.

Give yourself grace and focus on what you can control.

Small steps, creating a budget, reaching out for support, or simply taking a break to recharge, can make a difference.

When stress starts to build, try these free relaxation techniques:

🌿 Box Breathing: Inhale for 4 seconds, hold for 4 seconds, exhale for 4 seconds, and hold for 4 seconds. Repeat several times.

🌿 5-4-3-2-1 Grounding Exercise: Identify 5 things you can see, 4 you can touch, 3 you can hear, 2 you can smell, and 1 you can taste to help bring your focus back to the present.

🌿 Take a Walk: Even a 10-minute walk outdoors can help reduce stress and improve your mood. Especially on our beautiful sunny Alaskan summer days.

🌿 Free Meditation Apps & Videos: Explore free guided meditations on YouTube or through apps such as Insight Timer. (No federal endorsement)

Remember, financial challenges do not define your value. Taking care of your mental health during stressful times is important, and asking for help is a sign of strength.

Remember: You may not be able to control the economy, but you can take small steps each day to support your well-being. ✨ Stress shared is often stress reduced. Check in on yourself and others, you never know who may need a little extra support today.
