The Buncombe and Haywood County fire services are mourning the loss of one of our own. Chief Sellars was one of a kind, and he will be greatly missed by so many. We will forever be grateful for his dedication and service at the Skyland Fire and Rescue in Buncombe County and at the Clyde Volunteer Fire Department in Haywood County!

Chief, we got it from here. Well done, good and faithful servant!

Today we celebrate the career of retiring Fire Chief Randy King. Randy has served Enka-Candler Fire and Rescue for 22 years with dedication and pride. There will be a drop in celebration at the main station today from 10 to 12. The department wishes Chief King a well-deserved retirement.
