Shout-out to United Way of Northeast Kentucky!! They stepped up and helped our center to obtain and provide Evidence-based Trauma Assessments.

These TSCC/TSCYC assessments are part of the services Hope's Place Child Advocacy Center offers to our clients, FREE of charge. We are continuously working to ensure that we are providing the best services to foster hope and enable healing to each child who comes through our center.

A lot of people ask what actually happens when a child comes to Hope’s Place Child Advocacy Center.

Everything we do is built around making things survivors feel as safe and heard as possible.

Here is what that care looks like, all in one place:

🧡 A forensic interview that helps limit how many times a child must share their story
🧡 Specialized medical exams, when needed
🧡 Trauma-focused counseling to support healing over time

This coordinated approach helps children feel supported every step of the way. And it helps caregivers know they are not navigating this alone.

First Baptist Church of Cannonsburg and American Heritage Girls kindly and carefully made some sweet little bears for some of our clients.

We provide comfort items to all of our clients. Sometimes, it is in the form of a snuggly bear, blanket, snacks, drinks or fidgets.
