Afternoons are expected to trend hotter through the middle of the week amid a period of mostly dry weather. High temperatures will reach the mid to upper 90s in the lowlands by midweek, while heat indices could climb into the 100s in the lowlands. Heat Advisories and even Excessive Heat Warnings may eventually be needed.

Heat Risk, as opposed to Heat Index, takes into account acclimation to heat, such as location, duration and time of year.
