The below comment was posted on ACRP page today by the Kings and Queens of the Ashtabula County Democrat Party regarding the Catch and Release Camplese post from this morning...Our reply to their comment is below.

Ohio law is clear: juvenile court records cannot be made public except in an appeal or when a court or statute allows it (Ohio Juvenile Rule 37(B)). Breaking that rule can mean up to 30 days in jail, a $250 fine, or both.
These rules exist to protect children. Every family in this county deserves to know their kids' court records stay private. And this is why experience matters.
In the interest of scrupulously following the law, the Ashtabula County Democratic Party invites Judge Harold Specht to co-sign a letter directed to Ashtabula County Prosecutor, April Grabman requesting her to assign a detective to investigate who, or whom, may have contributed to the public dissemination of this select, purely conclusory and non-adjudicated juvenile court record.
Upholding the law and protecting children's privacy should not be a partisan issue, and we hope Judge Specht will stand with us!
Here's what the people who posted this juvenile record already know:
Juvenile Court Judge Camplese *is not allowed* to respond to the claim itself. That's the law. Even so, he has said on the record that he will support the release of all records associated with the juvenile court matter in question, which removes him from any case involving it.
Judge Camplese is not afraid of this conversation. He welcomes it. He's ready to talk about how our juvenile court, our county prosecutor’s office and our county’s law enforcement agencies have gone without the support and resources they need from county leadership.33 years on the bench. That's the difference experience makes.

In typical form, a Democrat Judge gets exposed for being soft on crime and the democrat party on FB threatens to hold the Republican Party in CONTEMPT!?!?!

The Facts:
1. This a warrant issued by the Prosecutor's office. It is a public record.
2. The name and birthdate of the juvenile were redacted from the warrant.
3. The juvenile is now an adult and facing the death penalty in Texas - it doesn't matter!
This does raise a question: Juvenile court records are sealed documents. Just how many more dangerous juveniles has Catch and Release Camplese set out on the streets? We're sure there are more, but Catch and Release Camplese will hide his performance behind sealed records and empty threats.
If we have to choose about informing the public about an unnecessary MURDER and a $250 contempt of court fine from a liberal judge we will side on informing the public EVERY TIME!

KNOW THE FACTS BEFORE YOU VOTE!
Catch and Release Camplese's far left liberal ideology is too dangerous to be a Common Pleas Judge!
In October of 2024, Juvenile Judge Al " Catch and Release" Camplese sent a juvenile home on house arrest after committing violent acts using a fi***rm.
Just a few weeks later on January 6th, 2025 this same kid was charged with capital murder by the state of Texas.
Camplese closed our Youth Detention Center down in 2016. He is proud of that fact. Instead of housing the juvenile in a Youth Detention Center, who if was an adult would have been charged with multiple felonies with a fi***rm, he turned him loose to mom and dad.
What are the consequences? A person murdered in Texas and a Juvenile, now an adult, facing death row Texas. One bad decision destroyed TWO lives.
Catch and Release Camplese now wants to take his pro-criminal / anti-victim act to the Common Pleas General Division where career criminals will feast on his lack of enforcing the law.
Vote for the conservative Judge who will protect our families and victims - not endanger them. Vote Harold Specht for Judge!
