🚨 PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT – WATER MAIN BREAK 🚨

The Town of Astatula is aware of a water main break affecting the area of Madison Street, Eisenhower, Delaware, and Georgia Avenue.

Please be advised that this water line is not part of the Town of Astatula’s water system. Town personnel responded to the area and immediately notified Florida Governmental Utility Authority (FGUA), the utility responsible for the line.

FGUA crews are now on scene assessing the damage and will make the necessary repairs as quickly as possible.

We appreciate everyone’s patience while FGUA works to address the issue. We will share any additional information as it becomes available.

When you see the Facebook comments, the name calling and the same people constantly trying to tear down everything happening in Astatula, take a minute and look at who is doing the posting.

Look past all the noise. Look at what they actually contribute, whether they ever offer a solution or whether it is just one attack after another.

They sit behind a keyboard and complain. Anybody can throw accusations around. What matters to me is who is actually willing to put in the work to move this Town forward.

Ask yourself one simple question:

Are these really the people you want helping shape the future of Astatula?

I think everyone should look at the facts and make that decision for themselves.

Keep Astatula Moving Forward

I’m just going to say this the way I feel it.
I’m tired of the constant negativity on social media. Tired of the same arguments, accusations..

There is a difference between disagreeing with somebody and constantly trying to stir people up or keep people angry at each other.
I don’t understand how that helps Astatula.
I’m also not going to pretend it doesn’t bother me. It does.

I’m physically tired. I’m mentally tired. Some days I am just flat-out worn down by all of it. I’m a person before I’m the Mayor, and after a while the constant negativity gets to you.

But I’m still here, and I’m still doing the work.
What I don’t want is negativity becoming what defines Astatula. I don’t want rumors, anger, and constant fighting setting the tone for our town.

I know everybody isn’t going to agree with me. I don’t expect them to.
But we should be able to disagree without tearing each other apart.
I care about this town. I want to see Astatula move forward, and I’m going to keep doing the job I was elected to do.

I don’t want negativity defining Astatula.
I don’t want negativity running Astatula

I want better than that for our town.
