Reflecting, Sharing, Learning Reaching Athens-area adults to provide lifelong learning opportunities created by and for people in We're looking for input from local adults.

Here's what we've planned so far:

1) create an attractive, easy-to-use website specifically for the project.
2) develop a series of "Community Snapshots" of local adults sharing their knowledge and experiences. The Community Snapshots will be broadcast as webcasts on the new project website.
3) host an annual event
4) develop an annual exhibition at LHAC
5) develop a "Best Practices" model

We are excited to announce the recipients of our annual Georgia Public Library Awards, which honor public libraries and their leaders, staff, and champions who have made a profound difference in their communities.

This year, we celebrate:

THIS THURSDAY! @ 11:30am. Dr. Kerry Cohen is an audiologist at the UGA speech and hearing clinic. She will talk about physical changes in the ear, testing and adapting, etc... with some interesting facts. Abbie Vogt will provide a fun demonstration on how to interact with someone who is experiencing hearing loss and dementia. Snacks and prizes!
