Family Fun Day is here! Join the Friends of the Athens-Clarke County Library to kick off summer reading with a day of fun not seen since the Jurassic Era. The whole family can enjoy activities like shadow puppet shows, a petting zoo, Touch a Truck, Kona Ice, and so much more. It's happening NOW!

This summer, adults can win a prize by finding a toy dinosaur hidden among the books on the library's second floor. Each dinosaur comes with a name (this one is Marcella) and an adoption tag that you can fill out. Bring the dino to the Information Desk to claim your summer reading prize!

However, you can place holds on items for future pick-up through PINES and our digital collection is always available for your convenience, via Libby, hoopla and the Palace Project!

First, the bad news: we're sorry to announce that access to hoopla for Athens Regional Library System patrons will end on June 30, 2026. While we appreciate the value hoopla brings to our digital collections, the platform's pricing and lending model options have become unsustainable for the library's budget. We appreciate your understanding!
