Applications are now open for the FY2027 Texas Foundations Fund Disaster Recovery Program!

Through the Texas Foundations Fund, TSAHC partners with nonprofit organizations across the state to provide services that support the housing stability of Texans. The Texas Foundations Fund Disaster Recovery program specifically provides critical home repairs for damages caused by natural disasters.

To date, TSAHC has invested over $3.6 million in grant funding towards helping Texans recover from natural disasters. The Texas Foundations Fund Disaster Recovery program specifically has funded critical repair services for 17 nonprofit organizations.

More Texans may now qualify for homeownership assistance!

TSAHC has increased the income limits for both the Home Sweet Texas Home Loan Program and Homes for Texas Heroes Home Loan Program, making it possible for more Texas home buyers to access our homeownership programs.

New 2026 income limits:
• Home Sweet Texas: Up to 150% of Area Median Family Income (AMFI)
• Homes for Texas Heroes: Up to 170% of AMFI

The income limits shown above apply to major metro areas across Texas. If your household income does not exceed the applicable limit, you may qualify!

This exciting change helps TSAHC continue its mission to facilitate, preserve, and expand housing opportunities for Texans.

Last week, we kicked off our 2026 Texas Supportive Housing Institute, an exciting four-month program providing training and technical assistance to development teams working to create supportive housing in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Congrats to all our 2026 selected teams; Destiny's Leaders, Inc, eGrab Foundation Incorporated , Elect Housing Solutions, Embrace Your Purpose Outreach Center, Fighting Homelessness, Oasis Haven

The kickoff also included a tour of two supportive housing communities in Fort Worth—Camp Bowie West operated by Presbyterian Night Shelter, and Casa De Esperanza operated by Fort Worth Housing Solutions.

A huge thank you to both organizations for welcoming us and allowing participants to tour these beautiful communities and see firsthand the powerful impact supportive housing can have on individuals and families.

Thanks to the CSH for adapting their nationally recognized Institute curriculum for the DFW area and a very special thanks to Charles Schwab for supporting 100% of the Institute costs and hosting the kickoff at their beautiful campus in Westlake.

We’re excited for the next four months and look forward to seeing what these incredible development teams accomplish!
