The Benton County Fire Marshal has extended the 24 Hour Burn Ban and will continue to extend this burn ban until further notice. No outdoor, open burns are permitted until further notice. The Avoca Fire Department Board of Directors will hold its regular meeting on July 30th. The following is a proposed bylaw amendment that will be discussed during this meeting.

"If necessary, the board may change the date, time, and/or location of the regular meeting so long as all of the notification requirements are met."

The Benton County Road Department has been activated due to flooding. Crews have begun closing flooded roads.
