Welcome to AE, Mrs. Woodward!

Hello, families! My name is Nikki Woodward, and I am excited to begin my 5th year in education and my 2nd year teaching Pre-K! This year is especially exciting for my family, as my son, Wyatt, will be starting 4th grade.

My husband, Ryan and I have been married for 18 years, and he serves as a supervisor with the City of Fort Worth Animal Care & Control. When I’m not in the classroom, I love spending time with my family, getting lost in a good book, and going on adventures together.

For the past four years, I have had the privilege of teaching at Eagle Heights Elementary. While changing schools brings a mix of excitement and nerves, I am looking forward to this new chapter and becoming part of a wonderful school community.

My goal is to create a classroom where every child feels loved, valued, and excited to learn. I can’t wait to build relationships with my students and families and help foster a lifelong love of learning. Here’s to an amazing year ahead!

Please join AE in giving a warm welcome to one of our new 2nd grade teachers, Mrs. Wingate!

My name is Lindsay Wingate. I have been teaching in Azle going on three years now. I am coming from Hilltop Elementary to AE, and will be teaching 2nd grade. I am super excited to help start up AE as a pre-k through 5th grade campus. Before teaching in Azle I taught in Birdville ISD for 14 years where I taught 2nd grade all those years. In my spare time I love being with my husband and two sons. One of my sons will be a senior this year in Azle and my other son will go to AE and will be a 5th grader. Both my boys are in Azle FFA where they show cattle and when we are not working or showing cattle you can find us on a baseball field where my younger son plays select baseball.

Welcome to The Rock, Mrs. Mora!

I am so excited to join the AE family as a 4th grade teacher this year! This will be my 12th year in education, and I recently earned my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Western Governors University. My family and I are relatively new to Azle, and we have loved becoming part of this wonderful community. I’m especially excited that two of my boys will be attending AE this year as well.

When I’m not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family at the lake, kayaking, cooking, playing board games, or having family movie nights. What excites me most about joining AE is the opportunity to serve the children and families of our community and build meaningful relationships with students and staff. My teaching superpower is helping students believe in themselves and discover just how capable they are. A fun fact about me is that I was selected as the commencement speaker for my university’s master’s graduation ceremony.

I’m looking forward to an amazing school year at AE! 😊

🚨 1st Place 🚨

Our boys brought home a first place trophy from this year’s GT Hornet’s Nest with a project titled “Equazers”!

In total, we brought home 5 awards. Our 5th graders brought home 1st, 2nd and 3rd place while our 6th graders brought home 1st and 3rd place. How awesome is that?!?

Again, we want to give a huge shoutout to Mrs. Reed for everything she does for our GT students. You rock, Mrs. Reed!

🚨 1st Place 🚨

This amazing group of young ladies brought home the 1st Place award at this year’s GT Hornet’s Nest! The Hornet’s Nest is essentially a competition that’s set up like the television show, Shark Tank. They presented and won the competition with a product called the Hair Banditt! Awesome stuff!

We also want to give a shout out to Mrs. Reed! She does so much for our GT students. Thank you, Mrs. Reed!

Teacher Appreciation Week has been the best kind of busy around AE!
We rolled our snack cart around the school to surprise our teachers with all the treats, and a few of our amazing StuCo students helped pass out gourmet popcorn to our teachers as well!

We appreciate all the hard work, love, patience, and dedication they pour into our students!
