Last evening for drill, the Rangers went over lifting airbags. While not commonly used, these are crucial tools when it comes to rescuing someone trapped under heavy objects, such as cars. Utilizing the bags and standard cribbing, crews were able to rescue our "victim" from under the old ambulance safely

Not only people need rescuing. This morning your Rangers were dispatched to the township rec center for a cat in a drainage pipe. Crews were able to get the kitty out and back to the awaiting owner after roughly 20 minutes. The Rangers were assisted by a crew from Moore Township PW. This was call #340 on the year

Did you know your Rangers have multiple mutual aid agreements with neighboring municipalities and departments? This morning fire 48 was dispatched along with fire 52 for a carbon monoxide alarm in Bushkill Township. A crew responded with 4813 and returned to station within an hour. Neighbors helping neighbors

The Rangers had an odd one this morning, we were notified of an mva with unknown injuries, reports of a car in a ditch. Crews arrived to find an abandoned vehicle and a pole snapped in half. Route 248 had to be shut down for a short time while the car was pulled from the ditch and MetEd was arriving. This was call #322 on the year, with 556 total, counting good intent calls such as burn requests
