🧪 What Happens When Science Gets REAL? 🥚

Our 8th grade scientists got a firsthand look at WHY lab safety matters! 👩‍🔬👨‍🔬

Their science teacher created a hands-on demonstration using an egg, bleach, and different types of hair to help students observe how chemicals interact with different materials.

And the results were… WILD. 😳🧪

The natural human hair completely dissolved, while the horsehair weave remained—giving students a very visible reminder that different materials can react VERY differently when exposed to the same chemical.

The takeaway? 👇

Lab safety isn't just a list of rules. It's part of being a scientist.

When working with chemicals, students need to:
🥽 Use appropriate protective equipment
🧤 Handle materials carefully
🧪 Follow directions
👂 Listen to their teacher
⚠️ Understand that chemicals can cause unexpected changes

Our Bearcats aren't just reading about chemical reactions in a textbook—they're observing science in action! 🐾💙💛
