POV: Your nightmare roommate finally moves out, and you don’t know if your landlord will approve the replacement roommate. Thankfully, you know about the Berkeley Rent Board website where you can learn about your renters rights, specifically the clause that landlords have to have a reasonable reason for objecting to a replacement roommate. And since you’re in a fully covered unit, if your landlord unreasonably refuses the replacement, you can file a Petition for Rent Decrease!
