The 2026 AVCP Award Nominations are officially OPEN! This is your chance to honor an inspiring Alaska Native from the Y–K Region who is making a difference in our communities.

Nominations are open in the following categories:
🩺 Health
📚 Education
🎣 Hunter / Fisher
💼 Small Business
🚀 Youth Leadership (Young Man)

Award recipients will be announced and celebrated at the AVCP Annual Convention this August!

Little caps, big dreams, and the sweetest smiles 💛🎓

Last Saturday at the Long House, we celebrated our Bethel Head Start graduates! Our amazing teachers led a beautiful ceremony, surrounded by decorations lovingly put together by parents. We laughed, we cheered, and we shared a delicious potluck together.

These kids were full of energy and confidence, ready to take on “big school” next year. It’s moments like these that remind us how strong our community is when teachers and families come together to support our youngest learners.

On June 12, 2026 from 1-4:00PM, AVCP's Tribal Child Welfare is hosting a community prevention activity in Anchorage with Yup’ik gem Helen Paul, focused on strengthening family support and connection. This event is open to ALL AVCP Tribal Members, with priority given to Kipnuk & Kwigillingok Tribal Members.
