We'll be out at Roundtop Park in Endicott today for the unveiling of the Crime Victims Memorial Wall at 11 AM, we hope you'll be able to join us to commemorate local lives lost to crime on this beautiful day!
We are so happy to announce the unveiling of the Crime Victims Memorial Wall in Roundtop Park, Endicott, on Wednesday, June 3rd beginning at 11 AM!
This has been a LONG time coming - we first broke ground on the wall nearly two years ago, after years of displaying a mobile version of the wall every Crime Victims Rights Week in the Oakdale Mall. The wall serves as a permanent remembrance of local lives lost to violence, and began as the Eagle Scout project of Schyler Savage, who was moved to action by the passing of his mother, Tess, due to domestic violence. After raising funds and soliciting support from Broome County and CVAC, Schyler's hard work is now coming to fruition, and we are so honored to have taken part in this process.
The gathering will include brief remarks, a memorial presentation, and time for reflection and connection among community members. Limited seating will be available and reserved for those needing accommodations, but all are welcome.

During the process of planning this project, many loved ones and family members of those memorialized were contacted regarding the inclusion of names on the wall, however we know others may not have received word due to a variety of factors. If the loved one of an individual lost to violence would like to request a name be added to or removed from the wall, we ask that they contact CVAC's main office line at (607)723-3200 and mention the reason for their call.
