This quick action is making a big impact. In 2024, 11% of retailers in Jackson County sold to***co to someone under 21.

Checking ID to verify age is one of the strongest ways to keep commercial to***co products out of kids’ hands.

🟩 99% of retailers who checked ID did not sell to an underage buyer. 🟥 Nearly two‑thirds of those who didn’t check ID mistakenly sold to someone under 21.

Health risks rise with the temperature. Hot weather can sneak up fast, but you can with these quick tips:
• Drink water often – even if you're not thirsty
• Dress light – wear loose, light-colored clothing
• Stay indoors – especially during peak heat (11am–4pm)
• Seek shade – call 211 to find a cooling center if needed
• Check on others – especially older adults, kids, and pets
