Attached is a letter outlining the current building repair challenges we are facing at Blades Volunteer Fire Company. Our station, despite being only 10 years old, is facing more than $600,000 in necessary repairs. We understand the increased fundraising efforts may raise questions, and we hope this information helps explain the significant financial impact these repairs have on our organization.

We appreciate the continued support from our community, members, and donors as we work to maintain a safe and reliable facility to serve Blades and surrounding areas for years to come.

We commend our EMS crew for their professionalism and composure in handling a difficult and dangerous situation. We also extend our sincere appreciation to our mutual aid partners who responded to assist on scene.

This incident highlights the unpredictable and sometimes dangerous conditions our first responders face while serving the community. We ask for continued support and respect for the safety of all emergency personnel.
