Idaho State Controller - Brandon D Woolf

Idaho State Controller - Brandon D Woolf The official page of Idaho State Controller Brandon D Woolf. We have an incredible staff at the State Controller’s Office. My predecessor, Donna M.

The Idaho State Controller pays the state’s bills, processes payroll for nearly 25,000 state employees, and operates the state’s largest data center. Additionally, by virtue of the office, I serve on a variety of boards and commissions, including the Idaho State Board of Land Commissioners and Board of Examiners. To accomplish these tasks, our office is divided into four divisions: the Division of

Statewide Accounting, the Division of Statewide Payroll, the Computer Services Center, and the Administration Division. On average, they’ve been employed by the state for more than 12 years, and nearly one-third of our staff has been with the state for more than 20 years. Our employees are experienced and committed. I’ve personally worked here since 1997 when I started as an intern, and have worked my way through the ranks and held a variety of management positions in our office. In Idaho, the post of State Controller is an elected position. Jones, retired on October 15, 2012, and Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter appointed me to fulfill the remainder of her term. The responsibility of serving as your State Controller is a great privilege. The State Controller’s Office is committed to reducing the cost of government, providing great customer service to Idaho’s taxpayers and state agencies alike, and improving the transparency of Idaho’s finances. I’m proud to be part of our extraordinary team, and honored to serve the people of our great state! Thanks,

Brandon D Woolf

🌻 Sunshine & Government Transparency

There’s a reason sunshine is often used to symbolize transparency. ☀️
Open access to public information helps create accountability, understanding, and trust between government and the people it serves.

At Transparent Idaho, transparency means making financial and public information easier to access, explore, and understand.

Clear data. Clear reporting. Clearer insight into Idaho government.

💡 Because transparency works best when everyone can see it.

Today, we celebrate the strength, guidance, sacrifice, and unwavering support that fathers provide every day. Whether through words of encouragement, lessons learned, or simply being there when it matters most, fathers help shape families, communities, and future generations.

Wishing you a day filled with appreciation, joy, and time spent with those you love most.

💙 Happy Father's Day! 💙

🇺🇸 This Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

Their sacrifice is a reminder that the freedoms we experience today are not without cost.
Today, we remember.

And every day, we are grateful… thank you for your service. 🪖

💡 Not all numbers mean the same thing.
An approved budget is a plan… it shows what a city or county intends to spend.
Actual spending? That’s tracked separately.

Understanding both gives you the full picture.

Liberty isn’t just something we celebrate every 250 years. It’s something we maintain, protect, and pass forward every day. Thank you to the Idaho Department of Lands, my fellow Land Board Commissioners, and our America250 Committee for their work ensuring a successful LIBERTY GROVES event! 🇺🇸

These Groves are a living reminder that freedom requires care, stewardship, and long-term thinking. 🌳
