And while they fight DC over pocket change, they’ve stayed silent as federal agents have targeted, chased, and shot at the Dashers who make their deliveries possible — including a driver killed by an ICE agent in Maine this summer.

Sitting out doesn’t opt you out of the consequences. It just hands the decision to someone else.

You wouldn't hand a stranger your license plate history. So why hand the DOJ your voter roll?

A lot of you asked the same question on our last video: "What's wrong with verifying voter rolls? If you have nothing to hide, why does it matter?"

Here's the thing, plenty of you have said the opposite about Flock cameras. The ones already tied to stalking cases because of a privacy policy with more holes than substance.

Same principle. Different boogeyman.

Voter rolls already get checked. Massachusetts is part of ERIC, a 25-state pact that flags deaths, moves, and duplicate registrations. Citizenship gets checked too, through SAVE, a federal tool courts have caught misflagging real U.S. citizens as noncitizens, sometimes leading to eligible voters getting purged.

And the "problem" DOJ says it's solving? Noncitizen voting happens at a rate of 0.0001%, per the nonpartisan Brennan Center.

That's not a crisis. It’s a false flag.

There's no evidence of widespread fraud in U.S. elections—just people claiming it, with nothing behind the claim.
States run elections for a reason: to keep exactly this kind of overreach in check.

If Flock cameras turning your life into a searchable file bothers you, this should too. You don't want the government in your medical records or your bank account, so why hand them a clean list of your voting data?

Don't trade your freedom for a false sense of security. 🇺🇸

“If you have nothing to hide, why not turn it over?”

We’ve all seen this line trotted out to justify some new overreach — hand over your data, your voter roll, your privacy, no big deal, right?

Except it is a big deal. Election administration is a state function, not a federal one. That’s not a technicality — it’s the Constitution. And “nothing to hide” doesn’t mean “no right to privacy.”

Turns out the courts agree: as of July 29th, 17 federal courts have dismissed DOJ’s lawsuits demanding state voter rolls — every single case it’s brought.

Not some. Not most. All of them.

Arizona, California, Connecticut, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin — a 17-0 losing streak for DOJ, in courtrooms with judges appointed by presidents of both parties.

So the next time someone tells you privacy concerns are overblown: 17 federal judges just said otherwise.

Salem just terminated its contract with Flock Safety--and that didn't happen by accident. 🎉

For eight months, a coalition of 17+ local organizations and Salem residents, working with the ACLU of Massachusetts, pushed city leaders to get Flock's license plate readers out of their community. They wrote letters. They sat in meetings with the mayor and police chief. They did the unglamorous work of showing up, again and again.

Flock's surveillance network lets thousands of law enforcement agencies, including those working with ICE and states that ban reproductive and gender-affirming care — track drivers' movements without a warrant. Salem's data was on that network. Now it isn't.

The city's announcement didn't mention the organizers who made this happen. So we will. Congratulations to the Salem coalition — this is what community power looks like. 🐦

New Bedford, we need to talk.

The DOJ wants the city to hand over every registered voter's name by August 8th — claiming it's to check whether New Bedford needs to offer voting help in other languages. Except the city doesn't even hit the number that would trigger that check. Even Mayor Mitchell admitted the DOJ's reasoning might just be an excuse to get their hands on private voter data.

This isn't about accuracy. This isn't about access. This is the same intimidation playbook we've watched roll out state after state, all year long--and Massachusetts already beat it once, back in April.

Mayor Mitchell says the city will comply "as required by law," without telling us which law that is. New Bedford families have already lived through raids. Through detentions. Through fear at their doorsteps. They don't need to hand over one more list.

Mayor Mitchell — hold the line. Don't hand over private voter data.

Justice for Lorenzo. Justice for Johan. Justice for all harmed by ICE.

On July 7, ICE agents in Houston murdered Lorenzo Salgado Araujo — a father and 35-year U.S. resident, driving to work with his crew.

Six days later, ICE fatally shot 26-year-old Johan Sebastián Guerrero in Biddeford, Maine, in front of his wife and toddler.

In response to these killings and the escalating ICE presence in our communities, join the LUCE Immigrant Justice Network and community organizations for a 24-hour vigil in front of the Massachusetts State House in Boston.
