The 2026 AATJ K-12 Growing Program Award Nomination Deadline has been extended to September 15, 2026!

Do you know of an excellent Japanese language program at a K-12 school? Nominate them for this award, to be presented at the 2026 ACTFL Convention and AATJ Fall Conference.

The AATJ K-12 Growing Program Award recognizes Japanese language programs that effectively use their available resources to provide high-quality education to students and to positively impact the local community with clear vision and potential leadership for the future of Japanese learning and teaching. Registration is now open for the 31st Central Association of Teachers of Japanese Conference, which will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at the University of Michigan.

This year’s conference will focus on the theme of “Reimagining Japanese Language Education: Challenges, Opportunities, and Transformations.” The conference includes a keynote presentation, 20 paper presentations, and networking opportunities.
