Give a Hoot is coming up and we need your support!

All July long, Give a Hoot raises money for Park County nonprofits doing real work in their community, and HRDC is participating again this year!

One of our most critical programs in Park County is the Livingston Warming Center — a lifeline for our most vulnerable neighbors when temperatures drop and they need a warm place to go. It's one of the many ways our team shows up for Park County with food, housing, transportation, and opportunity every single day.

Last year, Give a Hoot raised over $3.2 million for 91 Montana nonprofits. Imagine what we can do together this year. 💛

Save the date for July 1–31, 2026 and visit the link in our bio to make your gift to our Park County programs!

Summer Lunch is back starting this Monday, June 15th! Find all locations and menus at the link in our bio🔗

Since 2006, we’ve been fueling our youngest population with free, nutritious meals all summer long—and this year is no different!😋

Last June, we served over 5,000 meals across just 10 service days—that’s 224 kiddos daily, each receiving both breakfast AND lunch.

Thank you to our community partners, to our team at our Gallatin Valley Foodbank, and to all of our incredible volunteers who make this program possible!

Interested in volunteering for summer lunch? Find the volunteer link in our bio🤝

We love seeing Produce Rx in action! Last week, Matt, one of our Produce Rx participants, shared a recipe for homemade chicken tacos topped with fresh ingredients from his weekly produce box. 🌮

🥦🫐Produce Rx connects participants with consistent access to fresh, nutritious food while providing education and support to build healthy habits at home.

🤝This program is truly a community effort. A huge thank you to our partners for helping design and support this program, including the healthcare providers who connect patients to this resource.

💪🏽We are also grateful for the registered dietitians who share their expertise through nutrition classes and Christina for helping us source beautiful, locally grown produce for participants each week.

Something special is happening this upcoming Wednesday. 🎬

Kyler Ernst has created a short film about Lighthouse Ranch — and you’re invited to the premiere.

Lighthouse Ranch is working to fill one of the most urgent gaps in our community: critical mental health care for teens in crisis.

Right now, young people who survive a su***de attempt in Gallatin County often wait 4–8 weeks before seeing a therapist. Lighthouse Ranch is changing that — bringing residential post-crisis care, outpatient therapy, and family support right here to Southwest Montana.

This film tells that story. And it’s one worth seeing.

📍 Lighthouse Ranch Campus — 8977 Dry Creek Road, Belgrade from 4-6pm

After the screening, guests are invited to tour the 30+ acre ranch and learn more about what’s being built on this campus for our kids and families.

HRDC is teaming up with the Bozeman Rotary Club for a community bike ride you don't want to miss — Saturday, May 30th! And the best part? Every mile you ride directly supports HRDC's youth programs — giving kids and teens across Southwest Montana a brighter future. 💛

Whether you're a seasoned cyclist or just love a good excuse to get outside, there's a route for you:

🏔️ Mountain bike through Highland Glen meadows (or Painted Hills if you're feeling ambitious)
🚵 Road ride out to Triple Tree, Kelly Canyon, or all the way to Sypes Canyon

All ages. All skill levels. Families welcome. Can't ride? Sign up to volunteer!

📍 Start & finish at Lindley Center | 1102 E. Curtiss, Bozeman

Last week was Teacher Appreciation Week — and we're still thinking about ours. 💛

To every teacher across our Head Start program: thank you. What you do goes far beyond lesson plans and circle time. You are often the first trusted adult outside of home that a child truly knows. You show up — every single day — for the youngest, most impressionable hearts in our community.

The research is clear: the earliest years of a child's life are the most formative. 🌱
