The Brighton District Library is pleased to announce our first ever Brighton Club and Organizations Expo!
This event will bring together local clubs and organizations seeking volunteers or new members. This is a great way for interested adults to discover meaningful opportunities right in our community.
This event will occur on Saturday, August 15, 2026 between 1-3pm.
We're currently looking for representatives from local organizations to staff a table for their group. There is no cost to participate in this event. If you'd like to book a table or have any further questions, please contact our outreach librarian, Andrew Puente at [email protected]

Don't forget to bring in those mini block creations for the annual Summer Reading Lego Contest at the Brighton District Library.

There will be prizes in FIVE different age groups: Kids ages 3-5, 6-8, and 9-12, Teens ages 13-17, and Adults ages 18-103. (Yes, adults too!)

Creations are due Friday, June 19. Winners will be announced July 17. The theme this year is Unearth a Story (however your beautiful brain interprets that). Kits are not eligible to win.

For rules & details, pick up your entry form at the Youth Services desk today! & make sure your creation is back to us by June 19!!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Summerfest yesterday. What a way to kick off Summer Reading! It may have been our biggest kick off yet.

Does that mean this is going to be our biggest Summer Reading yet? Only time will tell, but we're up for the challenge.

Make sure you're registering on the Beanstack app for this year's Summer Reading Program. There's something for everyone! Youth (ages 0-12), Teens (Grades 7-12), and adults (ages 18+).
