Huge congratulations are in order for an incredible team! ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’ช

We are so proud to announce that our President Janiece and K9 Parker have officially leveled up their life-saving skills.

Not only did they recently achieve their re-certification CE (Certified Evaluation) for Disaster Search, but they also recently successfully completed their re-certification in Area/Live Find with SARDUS!

These national certifications represent hundreds of hours of rigorous training and a profound commitment to the standards of the search and rescue community.

Please join us in commending Janiece and K9 Parker for their professionalism, perseverance, and ongoing dedication to the mission. ๐Ÿ‘

Congratulations to the 2026 graduates of GSAR field academy. These volunteers put in 40 hours of classroom time over 6 months, 2 overnight weekend trainings and 2 full day weekend trainings to learn the skills needed to help those in need. We couldnโ€™t be more proud of this class and are happy to welcome them to the team! Thanks to all who volunteered the many hours it takes to put on this academy!

Skagit GSAR recruits completed Course Charlie over the weekend. They were able to put together all the skills they have learned over the last few months to successfully navigate, perform evidence searches and assist their subjects with their medical needs and transport them out of the field. They showed amazing communication, teamwork and resilience! They are now ready to be deployed. Good work!!

Skagit County Search Dogs at training today. We spend many hours training with our K9s to keep them mission ready. It is always wonderful when we have a great place to train. A big shout out to for allowing us to use their amazing grounds on short notice. It takes help from the community to help us complete our mission, whether itโ€™s volunteers to come hide for our dogs or organizations that allow us to use their facilities for our training. We are very grateful for all who contribute so we can help others in their time of need.
