🌻🌽 We were given the most beautiful sunflowers along with some delicious corn, and it inspired us to get creative! 💛

While we enjoyed our fresh corn on the cob, we also had fun crafting a beautiful sunflower photo frame. What a lovely way to turn nature’s gifts into a little creativity and special memories!

A local generous farmer donated fresh-out-of-the-field corn on the cob to our community! Our residents had a wonderful time helping shuck the corn while sharing memories.

Some grew up in the city and had never shucked corn, while others grew up on the farm and had been doing it their whole lives! 🌾💛

It was a simple activity filled with laughter, stories, and a few great memories. ❤️

Today we welcomed the Skagit Valley Spinners Group to our community! We were fascinated to learn about the art of spinning and how something as simple as fur and natural fibers can be transformed into beautiful, colorful yarn.

Our guests walked us through the process, showing us how they carefully spin the fibers into yarn and then use that yarn to create amazing handmade pieces. We had the chance to admire beautiful shawls, cozy mittens, lovely cardigans, and other incredible creations.

What made the day even more special was being able to ask questions, watch the process up close, and learn from people who are so passionate about their craft.

At our senior living community, we believe learning never stops! Every new experience gives us an opportunity to discover something different, connect with others, and share in the joy of learning.
