As you know, we had planned on beginning our closure for the move today...but, we're still open for two weeks!

Unfortunately, we had already set in place the actions to switch our phone company --which happened today (...yay!), but means we are not currently getting calls at the OLD library (boo!).

We will be setting up our answering machine ASAP, but if you need information quickly, please consider sending us a message here, to Cadott LibStaff, on our TikTok, OR just e-mailing [email protected]. Staff checks those all frequently.

We apologize for this inconvenience, but in just another few weeks we'll be back to business as usual in our beautiful new facility! We'll take these little hiccups as they come 😁

We're not closed up just yet, but if you're looking for fun this month, the Bloomer Library has a TON of fun programs happening this summer!

They're kicking off a slate of events with a Touch-a-Truck event on June 4th in partnership with the Bloomer Chamber at the fairgrounds from 3 PM to 7 PM.

Love this t-shirt design?
Well, excellent news --we're putting in a big order of these shirts to celebrate our 70th anniversary! And just $20 each!

Payment in advance to the Friends of the Library is appreciated, but we'll also collect at pick-up! We anticipate having these on hand during our Anniversary Week, starting July 13th.

Shirts are available in Youth and Adult sizes and are Gildan 100% Cotton shirts. Sorry, for this run we're only offering 1 color option! But if you'd love to see this design on other colors or products, let us know!

Summer is just around the corner --and that means a FULL CALENDAR of events at the library, starting with our move in June!

While the library will be closed starting June 13th, following us here on Facebook is your best place to keep up to date with our re-opening process as well as any changes to our programing. You can also see extra details on our website calendar.

Even though we're going to be closed for much of June, when we would normally be kicking off our Summer Reading, other MORE Consortium libraries are going to be having some great programing happening to keep you and your kids occupied! Check out the slate of events available at our neighbors to the south in Augusta by visiting their website (www.augustalibrary.org).

This is also a GREAT year to do the MORE Passport Program! Pick up your passport starting June 1st and see how many of our great libraries you can visit before we open! (And of course, we're excited to welcome in patrons from other libraries to our new facility when we re-open!)

We've been so busy prepping for the move, we nearly forgot about this program we have slipping onto the calendar this week!

This Thursday from 3 PM to 5 PM, stop into the library to get prepped for Canning Season and get your pressure cooker gauge tested! You can also ask questions and get some tasty new recipes to try from our expert from the UW-Extension office.

Note: We will also offer this testing closer to the fall!

**MOVING UPDATE*
Good afternoon everyone! We have some updates on our moving process. Long Story short: the process is being pushed back approximately 2 weeks due to our anticipated shelving installation. This means:

1. We will now be closing beginning June 13th. Please direct any library related questions (like renewals) to one of our other MORE Consortium libraries during this closure.

2. Our final ILL/Courier DELIVERY will be June 5th.

3. Our final ILL/Courier PICK-UP will be June 12th; that means ANYTHING left on the shelf the evening of Thursday, June 11th will be sent back to it's owning library.

4. Our PHONE LINE is switching to a new company as of June 1st! This means we may not be receiving calls during this transitional period. You CAN leave messages but it may be prudent to either e-mail or send a message here on Facebook if you need a fast response. We'll update on this once we know what the situation is.

5. Our PRINTER is already scheduled to move to the new building June 4th! So we will not be able to Print/Copy/Scan/Fax, etc. starting this date. We apologize for the inconvenience!

6. Our moving day is now June 24th. There will likely be a couple hours of visible activity at both locations. We appreciate the public giving our movers the space to do their job. We are NOT looking for additional volunteers for any of our packing and moving process. If we need extra hands for unpacking, we'll post a shout out 🙂

7. Tentatively, we anticipate reopening sometime between June 29th and July 1st.

This DOES mean that our grand opening celebration is being pushed back. We will have information about that rescheduling soon.

So, we hope you enjoy an extended two weeks of service. Make sure to stop in to make sure you have enough materials for our closure! It's a great time to check out some of our Library of Things items as well, like our card games, yard games and sports equipment, STEM kits, LEGO, and so forth!

It’s true!
We have passes to the Eau Claire Children’s Museum! The pass is good for 2 adults and 1 household of kids.

DYK? 👀 Many public libraries partner with local museums, zoos, and cultural institutions to offer free or discounted admission passes that patrons can reserve with a library card.

Podcast Club is coming up! We'll be discussing both the April and May podcast selections as we canceled April's meeting. Join us at Noon, at the library on May 30th!

We are extending the deadline for our Turning the Page anthology to May 22nd.

We are collecting poetry, short fiction, and memoirs. Not sure what to write about? Tell us about your favorite experience in the library, your favorite staff member (we're 70 years old --there have been a few!), or...surprise us! Our general theme is "small town" and "libraries", but the sky is the limit.

Don't worry about a "perfect" submission. We'll accept all of them and do some basic editing as necessary for typos and formatting. So send in your poem or story today to [email protected]
