Heat and humidity will continue to build Tuesday and Wednesday. Temperatures will warm into the low to mid 90s, with afternoon heat indices peaking in the upper 90s to low 100s. Far Northeast Ohio and Northwest PA may stay slightly cooler where coverage of showers and storms will be greater.

Temperatures will gradually increase into the mid-90s by the middle of the week, with heat indices around 100F. This will lead to significant heat risk Tuesday through Thursday. Limit your exposure, seek shelter in air conditioned buildings, and drink plenty of water.

It will turn warmer and more humid Saturday for one day before a strong cold front crosses Saturday evening. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected in the afternoon and evening ahead of the front. A few storms could produce damaging winds and heavy rain.

Widely scattered thunderstorms will slide southeast across NE Ohio and NW Pennsylvania late this afternoon and evening. Most will be low impact, but isolated stronger cells could contain heavy rain and strong winds.

Multiple rounds of thunderstorms with very heavy rainfall today on top of wet ground from the frequent thunderstorms the past few days will lead to an increasing threat for flash flooding, especially in urban and poor drainage areas and near creeks and streams. Never drive a vehicle into flood waters, and avoid culverts and streams when rushing water is present.

Thunderstorms this morning and possibly again this evening through tonight will bring torrential rainfall. Areas that see repeated rounds of storms could experience flash flooding. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.

A thunderstorm complex will move east from southern Michigan and across Lake Erie this morning, mainly impacting counties near the lakeshore with damaging winds and heavy rain. A second round of storms is possible farther south this evening and tonight, especially from Bowling Green to Canton.
