Great Sunday morning training in the rain! K9's and handlers had the opportunity to work through the campus of Messiah College, through a covered bridge, and across the Yellow Breeches locating their subjects in the creek.

Last evening, some of our team members spent the evening sharpening one of the most important skills in search and rescue - patient packaging and extraction.

Once a subject is located, the mission is far from over. Safely assessing, packaging, and transporting an injured or exhausted patient through challenging terrain requires teamwork, communication, and practiced technique. During this training our members worked together to refine these critical skills, ensuring we can provide the safest and most efficient care possible when every second counts.

Training like this prepares our team to respond confidently in real-world situations, where no two rescues are ever the same. We are proud of the dedication our volunteers continue to show by investing their time and effort into ongoing training, so we are ready whenever our community needs us.

A huge thank you to everyone participated and helped make another successful training night. Together, we continue to learn, improve, and stay mission ready!
