35 Years of Service. A Lifetime of Impact. 🚑❤️
Today, Baptist Ambulance and Magnolia Ambulance, members of the Priority Ambulance family of companies, proudly congratulate Daryl "Gwin" Adams on his retirement after 35 years of dedicated service in EMS.
Gwin's EMS journey began in 1991 after a life-changing experience. While working in a shirt factory, he used skills learned in a CPR class to help save a coworker who had stopped breathing following a seizure. That experience inspired him to pursue a career in EMS.
Over the next three and a half decades, Gwin advanced from EMT to EMT-Intermediate and ultimately Paramedic, serving communities across Mississippi and beyond. His career included service with Carthage Ambulance, Neshoba Ambulance, MedStat, as an oilfield paramedic in North Dakota, and most recently with Baptist Ambulance in Attala County.
Reflecting on his career, Gwin shared:
"I realized that I was able to remain calm and help people during the worst times of their lives. Through the years, I have been able to change people's lives and influence others in EMS to do the same. For me, it was a calling from God."
Throughout his 35 years of service, Gwin answered countless calls, cared for patients during some of their most difficult moments, mentored fellow EMS professionals, and made a lasting difference in the communities he served.
Please join us in thanking Gwin for his unwavering dedication, compassion, and commitment to EMS. We wish him a happy, healthy, and well-deserved retirement as he begins this next chapter.
Congratulations, Gwin, and thank you for 35 years of service. 💙🚑
