Your donation to Carthage Area United Way serves 11 local non-profit agencies to provide food, clothing, housing, education, counseling, healthcare, employment and encouragement for Eastern Jasper County and Barton County residents. The agencies are:

Meet Roxanne Willard. Roxanne is a force of nature, and has done so much for CAUW during her tenure as a board member. She has held multiple offices, and has been on the Board for six years. She, along with her team at Leggett & Platt, plan and execute a super successful golf scramble every year that benefits CAUW.

Director Kim Bausinger says she can't begin to imagine the hole Roxanne will leave behind next year as she rolls off the Board. "I hope Roxanne knows that she's still gonna get lots of calls and emails. Whether its her connections to Jasper County 4-H and the Youth Fair, or the golf tournament, she's still gonna be a go to for getting things done! And you won't find anyone better, more knowledgeable, or a bigger heart for service!"

Meet new CAUW Board Member, Adam Garbin!

Wow — Adam is definitely not afraid to jump in with both feet! Although this is his first year serving on the CAUW Board, he has already made a huge impact. Adam asks thoughtful questions, isn’t afraid of hard work, and was an incredible mouse wrangler at our Big Cheese event last April!

CAUW Executive Director Kim Bausinger says the best way to describe Adam is with two words: heart and passion. Adam is one of those people who naturally becomes a driving force wherever he serves. Whether it’s handling mice, fixing a formatting issue on a document, or making phone calls to recruit volunteers, he’s always willing to step in and help.

Adam has a great balance of seeing both the big picture and the small details, and we are confident he’s going to be a fantastic voice on our Board.

We can’t say this enough, but thank you to the over 150 volunteers who pitched in yesterday to make or 26th annual Day of Action a huge success!! You all knocked it out of the park! We will post lots of pics in the coming days, but didn’t want to delay saying THANK YOU!!!

Meet CAUW Board Member, Cheryle Finley!

Alright, we’ll all pause for a moment and chuckle a little, because there probably aren’t many people in Carthage who DON'T know Cheryle! Cheryle has served on the CAUW Board for the past five years and is deeply passionate about the work of CAUW and the Partner Agencies we support. She believes every possible dollar raised should go toward helping the people of the Carthage area.

CAUW Director Kim Bausinger says Cheryle is the kind of board member who always wants to understand the “why” behind what we do. She takes personal responsibility for being able to answer those same questions if someone in the community asks her. She’s also the first to volunteer for the behind-the-scenes work that helps make CAUW events — and Kim’s job — successful.

Cheryle leads with her heart in everything she does, and it’s a pretty incredible one!

It’s Day of Action week! We are sorting t-shirts, snacks and water like crazy to get everything ready for Friday! Keep on praying for no rain on Friday, please!! We’ve got too much work to do to mess with any rain! ❤️💪🏼☀️

We are just over ONE WEEK away from our annual Day of Action volunteer workday!

This year, nearly 150 volunteers are already signed up to serve at 12 local nonprofits across Carthage. Together, we'll spend the morning painting, landscaping, organizing, cleaning, repairing, and tackling projects that help our nonprofit partners better serve our community. It truly is an "all hands on deck" kind of day!

There's still time to join us! If you'd like to roll up your sleeves and make a difference, call or text 417-358-2948 to sign up and be placed on a work crew.

Many hands make light work, and with your help, we can make an even greater impact for Carthage. Join us and be part of the difference!

Meet Cassandra Ludwig, CAUW’s Board Secretary! Cassandra is currently serving her second year on the board, bringing both thoughtful insight and a strong analytical mindset to the organization. Her connection to CAUW began through CWEP’s employee giving campaign, and she quickly jumped at the opportunity to join the board to learn more about CAUW’s work and help further its mission.

According to CAUW Director Kim Bausinger, Cassandra has a unique ability to listen carefully, process information thoroughly, and ask the kinds of questions that help fine-tune important details within the organization. As someone who is often moving “a mile a minute,” Kim especially appreciates Cassandra’s steady attention to detail and the thoughtful perspective she brings to every discussion.
