🚨 attention all CES PTA members! 🚨
Please excuse the interruption of your summer break, but we would like to share and ask that you mark your calendars to hop on a very quick special association meeting being held on Wednesday, July 1, at 4pm! The only order of business will be approving the Booster contract for our main fundraiser in September. We do need to make quorum (at least 13 in attendance) in order to carry out this business, so please copy the zoom link into your calendars and look forward to seeing you there! Until then, keep those summer break vibes going! 😎 ☀️

Thank you to the for hosting a beautiful Awards Banquet and dinner on Monday! It was a wonderful evening where we were able to hear inspiring words from the Los Angeles County Teacher of the Year and CA State PTA President, and celebrate some very special individuals and achievements — including our own! We knocked it out of the park with our memberships this year, increasing from last year’s high of 278 members to our new best in 5 total of 365 members! Congrats and thank you to each one of our members for helping us receive this recognition!

We were also beyond thrilled that our long-time PTA Teacher Liaison and dynamic 6th grade teacher at CES, Kim Potter, was recognized with the “Outstanding Teacher Award” for all her service and dedication to her students and our PTA! Additionally, our PTA President, Megan DeMasters, was humbled to receive the Honorary Service Award for her years of service and dedication to making our CES PTA a welcoming place to gather and create a lasting impact on our children and families! What an honor!

Our PTA was able to bring a WHEELY cool assembly to campus this morning! 🤩 The amazed our cubs with their tricks, flips, and high-flying stunts, and shared an important message of believing in yourself, leading with kindness, working as a team, and never giving up! It was the perfect balance of inspiration and fun as we wrap up these last few weeks of school! Shout out to the brave teachers who volunteered to have the “Bulgarian Barbarian” jump over them for one of the stunts! 🤯

We can hardly believe it, but we’ve nearly made it to our final Association Meeting of the school year! 🎉 Our theme this year was, “Sprinkle Kindness, Scoop Success,” so we felt it appropriate to combine our year-end business with an ice cream social celebration! 🍨😋 Please RSVP using the QR code if you plan to attend so we can make sure there’s enough for all! Cub Families, we had SO MUCH FUN playing and celebrating with you last night! 🤩🎈🧁 Our Cub Family Field Day was a fantastic way to wrap up the amazing year we’ve had together, and celebrate our 100 years of impact in our community! It warmed our hearts seeing families and friends playing, competing, smiling, and eating together! 🫶

Thank you to for the awesome inflatable obstacle course set up, for the yummy treats, for giving our families a dinner option, for setting up a fun soccer station, to those who donated food items for the Castaic Food Pantry, and for the many parent and NJHS volunteers who came together to make this event possible! 🙌

Our final family event of the school year is fast approaching! We are so excited for you to join us for our Cub Family Field Day THIS FRIDAY, where we will gather together to eat, play, and celebrate the amazing year we’ve had and the 100-year legacy of our PTA! 🥳🧁🎈See flyer for details, and please RSVP as soon as possible by following the QR code.

⭐️ Free admission, but we will be collecting non-perishable, non-expired food items at the gate to donate to the Castaic Food Pantry as we continue to strive to improve the lives of all children and families! ⭐️

Our PTA was able to send our President, Financial Reviewer, and President-elect to Fres-YES this weekend for the convention! It was an amazing couple days of training, networking, idea-gathering, team-building, and CELEBRATING as we were honored on stage with the Legacy Award for 100 years of dedication to the PTA’s mission of improving the lives of all children and families! Other highlights were seeing the incredible artwork of the state Reflections honorees and meeting the new CA State PTA mascot, Petey A. Bear! 🐻🤩
