[WE'RE HIRING!]

Hey Seniors... do you enjoy meeting new people, have some free time, and would like to earn a little extra money?

The Castle Rock Senior Center is looking to hire a senior person to serve as a Senior Center AMBASSADOR for two days a week. The hours would be Tuesdays and Fridays, 10 am to 2 pm (8 hours total). The position will start in January and we will be paying $15+/hour. There is no rummage and bake sale at the Castle Rock Senior Center on November 19th, it was published incorrectly in The Daily News. It should have read November 12th. We will be playing bingo at 1 pm on the 19th, however, if anyone is interested.

The Castle Rock Senior Center FALL RUMMAGE & BAKE sale is BACK! It's all happening Saturday, November 12th from 9AM to 3PM.

We'll have lots of delicious baked goods, as well as unique rummage items including Holiday Decorations, books, puzzles, and lots of Christmas and greeting cards . Mark your calendar and be sure to join us.

COMMUNITY-WIDE GARAGE SALE…….

Community-wide garage sale at the Edgewater Estates mobile home park, 214 Chapman Road, Castle Rock. Come visit us sometime between 9 - 4 pm this Friday, Saturday or Sunday, July 29, 30 and 31st.

If you’re interested in cross stitch, plastic canvas projects or crocheting, come to Unit 21, you’ll find some good deals. Also, if you need a new Kirby vacuum cleaner, have one for sale that includes every attachment known to mankind. Lightly used. Reasonable offers will be considered, new they cost around $1,600.

Castle Rock Senior Center invites you to their potluck Friday, April 15th at 12 noon.

After lunch, you can travel with us as we take you back in time 175 years ago in Brunskog, Varmland, Sweden, where Myron Nelson’s grandmother lived as a child. In addition, see carvings from the Bronze Age 3500 years ago; a Viking “home”; the beauty of Stockholm; the pageantry of changing of the guards, the mosaics in City Hall; and much more.

Part 2 of Myron’s trip to Sweden will be shown after our potluck on Friday, May 20th. Please join us then as well!

Castle Rock Senior Center is Open! Our tentative plans are Monday, Wednesday and Friday. 9am-1pm.

On Monday we have cinnamon rolls and coffee for a $1.50. Starting April 5th, Exercise class will be 9:30-10:30am on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Tuesday is Game Day, from 11:00am-1pm. So the question will be, which game should it be? You can be sure, the coffee will be on.

Wednesday, we have: at this time; Brown bag lunches from CAP for $3.00, or you may bring your own. to buy one from CAP you must call Marian at 360-636-2118. about 1pm., we will play bean-bag-baseball; for practice or challenge.

Thursday, April 1st Pinochle begins at 7:pm. On the 8th of April the Quilters are back from 10am.-2pm.

Friday, plans are up in the air, we are hoping to schedule Potluck lunches at noon.

Saturdays, Bingo starting April 3rd at 1pm.

For all you Pool-Players we have pool at 9:30am every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

All are welcome.

The Senior Center is having a Rummage Sale May 8th: you may bring your goods any time.

A big shout out and thank you to Jana at The Quilt Nest for donating masks to the senior center ❤️🙏❤️ Jana donated the materials and a friend of hers sewed the masks.

Just wanted to update everyone on the status of the CR Senior Center. The Center is closed through the end of April, but meals will still be delivered to the center on Wednesdays FOR THOSE WHO NORMALLY ATTEND. Meals must be ordered by Monday night by calling Marian at 360.636.2118 and can be picked up at noon on Wednesday. There will be no charge for the meals during this time. If you have any questions, feel free to post them here and I'll do my best to provide answers.
