CPVFD responded to a run away hay field fire on Wednesday. Three brush trucks including one from Comfort VFD stopped the fire short of reaching near structures. No injuries reported.

CPVFD responded to a structure fire off Hwy 16 south with Turtle Creek VFD and Kerrville FD. No injuries reported.

The morning of the flood When the water went down, we stopped for a moment. And prayed, we prayed that this flood would not be as worse as the last one, we prayed that there wasn't a loss of life. And that god would guide us into the right direction to help our community.
As chief, I am very proud of my firefighters and command staff. Over the past year, we have been in extensive training in swift water and in amphibious vehicles i'm very proud of your dedication to your community and sacrifice away from your family to better serve our community And surrounding areas you have made the difference.

Tuesday July 21

Center Point VFD responded to a large structure fire Tuesday night. Comfort VFD, El Paso FD and San Angelo FD also responded and fought the blaze. El Paso FD and San Angelo FD are temporarily in Kerr County assisting with calls while departments are stretched with flood duties. No injuries reported.

Yesterday, the center point volunteer fire department was deployed to Camp Wood to help move people across the river back and forth to get groceries and supplies until the road to the back of the subdivision was complete.
