Last full day in NYC was the perfect schedule for the end of the trip! We started off by going to the Oculus which is the newest transportation hub for the World Trade area. Next we walked to the One World Observatory. This was built after 9-11 and it's now the tallest building in the U.S. Once we reached the 102 floor, we had 360 degree views of the city! After, we walked to the 9-11 Memorial/museum. This was very moving and great for our students to see. From here we ate at Hudson Foods where we ran into another school group from Hazen! Next was exploring in Rockefeller Plaza then dinner at Ellen's Stardust Diner. Here the wait staff are all musically trained and singing while we're there. They are all there in hopes of making it to Broadway. Last was a cruise along the Hudson River with exceptional views! We're officially boarded and heading back to ND. Thankful for a great crew of students and chaperones!

Day 3 in NYC: We started the morning by getting on a ferry to Ellis Island where we learned a ton about many of our ancestors as they immigrated into the U.S. Several of us were able to find documents/ info on our own family members that had came through Ellis. We then hopped back on the ferry to Liberty Island to see one of the most famous landmarks! After this, we strolled through Battery Park (right after the Knicks parade!), then we got to explore Little Italy and China Town, followed by dinner at the Hard Rock and seeing the amazing Broadway production of "Wicked".

For today's spotlight, we get to celebrate one of the kindest kids around, Terry Heilman! Terry joined choir this year and has been a great addition!! I have truly enjoyed getting to have him in class this year and know he will be missed next year. We wish him nothing but the best as he moves onto his next chapter! Congrats, Terry!!

Parents: Melvin and Tamara Heilman

Future Plans: I'm planning on going to BSC for generals and somewhere else to go into graphic design

What you'll miss most about Choir: One thing I'll miss is the random funny moments and the positive environment that you get when you're in music classes, not being stressful but calm and relaxing most of the time.

Favorite Choir Memory: One of my favorite memories is simple, but I would say is brainstorming on what to paint my brick and getting my friends' funny feedback.

Favorite song performed: "Mr. Blue Sky"
