June is Men’s Mental Health Month, which encourages men to take charge of their health.
Although men are more likely to die from alcoholism, overdose, and su***de, they are far less likely than women to seek out mental health services.
If you’re struggling, reach out to a friend, a loved one, or a professional. You’re never alone.
You can also call or text the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline to connect with a caring counselor. Using the 988 Lifeline is free, and your conversation is confidential.

Members of the LGBTQ+ community are more likely to think about, attempt, and die by su***de than their peers (Source: The Trevor Project).
But it's not because of who they are and how they identify, rather external factors like bullying, violence, discrimination, and stigma contribute to these increased rates.
When people are provided with loving, affirming, and accepting spaces, they are able to find hope and thrive. If you are in need of immediate support, call or text the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline to connect with a caring counselor. Using the 988 Lifeline is free, and your conversation is confidential.
