Sheena Anthony is a longtime Summer Day Camp Youth Development Professional at the Sedgefield Red Shield Youth Center. Every summer for more than 15 years, Sheena has supported the many campers who come through the Sedgefield doors with fun activities and important conversations. As a Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools bus driver for more than 15 years, Sheena has demonstrated a passion for working with youth. Colleagues describe her as consistent, dependable, and loved by all the campers. We thank Sheena for her dedication to The Salvation Army Red Shield Youth Centers.

It’s SNACK TIME, thanks to the lovely ladies of The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary. They assembled over 200 snack packs for our Red Shield Youth Center kids.😋

Construction is cruising along at the Center of Hope, as crews expand the dining hall and emergency shelter. A new walk-in refrigerator and freezer was recently added. The expansion project should be complete by early October.

Huge thanks to these fantastic volunteers for speaking to our Red Shield Youth Center kids about careers with the Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS). It was all part of our Future Forward program during Summer Day Camp.🚌
