Getting food to neighbors takes more than one moment or one organization. Every day, local food banks, agency partners, Walmart and Sam's Club associates, work together to help families access food. The annual Fight Hunger. Spark Change. campaign is one way our community strengthens that work year-round.

This Hunger Action Month™, we're grateful for the many people who stepped up and helped raise over $204,000 for our food bank at stores in our 24 county service region. Those funds stay local, helping families in each county we serve access the food they need through our agency partnerships. Today was a fantastic day! We started at 930am with our friends from Food Lion / Food Lion Feeds from the Anderson,SC area. We then left our Anderson branch and headed to Spartanburg where our branch hosted associates from that area.

These two amazing groups packed 4000 nutritious food boxes with amazing items for both! Final times are as follows:

* Anderson Branch Food Lion Associates completed their packing in 51:22 - that’s 52 minutes and 22 seconds!

*Spartanburg Branch Food Lion Associates completed their packing in 52:50 - that’s 52 minutes and 50 seconds!

Congrats to the winning team from Greenwood for taking home the win! Thank you to each and everyone one of the volunteers who help us feed our neighbors in need throughout the year!
