We're getting ready for Charlotte Pride this weekend with a great program lineup! Come by for Melanin & MagiQ, Big Kid Drop-In, and Queerly Beloved! Our Sober Curious group also has some changes starting this month. Now led by our friends at EASE, this group is specifically for youth ages 18 - 24. You can then end the week by celebrating with us at Pride and riding our parade float! See our other posts for more information. 💛🎉

We are especially looking for plus sizes and masculine-presenting clothing items! Please ensure they are clean and in good condition. Donations will be accepted until August 13! Have you noticed a new face at our front desk? Join us as we welcome Ariel (she/her) to the Time Out Youth team! Ariel joins us as our Intake Specialist, where she will coordinate our front desk operations, manage volunteer systems, and serve as a friendly welcome for all youth when they walk in our front door! Ariel has a background in HR & Operations. Beyond work, she enjoys thrifting, traveling, and spending time with her family. Her happy place? Anywhere near water. Please give Ariel a warm welcome and say hi when you see her in the Center! 💜

Check out these incredible photos by JWASHPRODUCTIONS from our Juneteenth Celebration last month! We embraced a rodeo theme and youth enjoyed everything from line dancing to basketball to the opportunity to learn more about Ballroom with our friends from Carefreeblackgirl, inc. And don't forget raffle prizes, dinner, and music from the incredible DJ Pers3vere. Thank you to our amazing staff, Board members, community partners, and supporters who made this day possible. We are so grateful for the ability to host this annual event centering our POC youth. ❤️

Check out our programming schedule for this week! LGBTQ+ youth ages 13 - 24 can join us at the Center for drop-in, Queerly Beloved, and a drum circle led by Dynamic Rhythms. Just a reminder that even though we do not have additional programs on Thursday and Friday, we are still open and providing services from 10AM - 5PM. We'll see you soon! 🎶🥁
