Recently, our Vest Water Treatment Plant celebrated 102 years of serving Charlotte!

Its story began long before 1924. After one of the city's worst droughts in more than 50 years led to water shortages, Charlotte invested in a long-term solution to secure our community’s water future.

Since opening in 1924, Vest has played a vital role in supporting Charlotte’s growth by providing safe, reliable drinking water.

For more than a century, it has been an essential part of Charlotte’s story, and we’re looking forward to serving our community for generations to come. 💙💧
